Yes, you can change the colour of your aluminium or uPVC windows
and doors. The colour choices are almost infinite! At XOX Coatings
we use only 2K products for all applications. The spraying process
provides a factory finish on your uPVC without leaving a poor
finish with brush marks. We would always recommend using a
professional for painting your uPVC.
The cost of uPVC spraying varies depending on the exact details of
the project and location. A front door starts from £295.00, garage
doors from £395.00 and windows range from £150.00 – £500.00
depending on size. Take a look at our quote builder for an
approximate quote for your project.
Projects are very quick thanks to fast-drying 2K paint.
Preparation (cleaning, masking), spraying, and de-masking can
often all be completed within a single day for an average-sized
house, with larger or more complex jobs taking up to two days.
The 2K coating used by us at XOX Coatings has an expected lifespan
of 10 to 15 years. This can be maximised with regular cleaning and
ensuring any abrasive debris is not left on the surface for long
periods of time. Areas of harsher environmental impact such as
southern-facing or coastal properties are subject to increased
exposure to heat and salt air which can impact the lifespan of the
product. This would still be expected to last at least 8 to 12
years.
Almost any colour you can imagine. XOX Coatings works from the RAL
and NCS colour ranges (thousands of options) and can match
designer-brand paints like Farrow & Ball and Laura Ashley, as well
as standard ranges such as Dulux, Crown, and Valspar. We have
various finish options available with sheen levels that are matte
(10%), satin (30%) and gloss (70%) with even more options
available from a dead flat matte (5%) right up to a high gloss
(90%).
Whilst we do not offer a product guarantee we do offer a 12-month
workmanship guarantee for most services. We can assure you that
the expected lifespan of the 2K products we use for external works
is 10-15 years. This can be reduced to 8-12 years if you live in a
coastal area where the salt in the air corrodes the coatings
faster than inland.
All we usually require is access to power (electric socket) and
that any obstructions are removed from the immediate area such as
plant pots or garden statues. We do not require any cleaning or
preparation prior to arrival unless stated, this is all done by
our on-site operatives. We will require access to the property and
rooms cleared as much as possible for internal works.
There are various products available on the market for Upvc
painting, from standard water-based paints which can be applied
with a brush to Single part (1K) and 2-part paints (2K) options
which are far better sprayed by professionals. The 2K coating used
by us at XOX Coatings has an expected lifespan of 10 to 15 years.
Yes, the process and products used by our teams for uPVC window
spraying are exactly the same as for the aluminium window frames.
When spraying items at height we usually try to work mainly from
ladders where safe to do so. However, if access will be impossible
or dangerous by ladder, we would require either scaffolding or
MEWP hire such as a cherry picker or scissor lift. Anything higher
than first-floor windows will require access to equipment.
We do not work weekends as standard but understand businesses are
often not able to shut down during the week for refurb purposes.
We do try to accommodate this where possible, but please note
there are small additional charges for this.
